Step 1. Evenly gather the top edge of the front to fit the yoke, and sew the two pieces together. Clean finish the seam with a serger or zigzag stitch. Press the seam up and topstitch.

Step 2. Sew the front to the back at the shoulder seams. Clean finish the seam and press towards the back.

Step 4. Apply bias tape or self-made double-fold bias strips to the neck and armholes.

Step 5. Sew the side seams and clean finish.

Step 6. Apply bias tape to the hem edge.

Step 7. Clean finish the back opening edges. Turn each edge under and topstitch.

Step 8. Finish the back opening with sew-on snaps. Trim the center front at the yoke with a ribbon bow or purchased flower appliqué.

Step 9. Sew the center front seam of the panties. Clip the curve and clean finish.

Step 10. Clean finish the waist edge and both leg hem edges. Press the hem edges up and topstitch.

Step 11. Press the fold line in at the waist edge. Thread 5 inches of 1/4 inch elastic through the casing.
