Wedding Party Pattern for Leeann

This pattern makes a darling little tea-length dress for a flower girl or wedding guest.

This pattern makes a darling little tea-length dress for a flower girl or wedding guest. Pictured here is vintage silk organdy over a dupioni silk underskirt for a more formal wedding look. But shorten the skirt and make it out of cotton print for a sweet summer sundress. If a sheer organdy, organza, or chiffon is used for the skirt, make the underskirt ½-inch shorter to hide it. Or dress it up even more with lace trim or a satin ribbon around the waist. This pattern is designed so the straps hide the shoulder joint seam on the doll.

2. Assemble the bodice lining following instruction #1. Sew the lining to the bodice leaving the waist edge open to turn. Turn and press.

3. Double fold and topstitch the skirt back opening above the clip. Gather the top edge of the skirt. Topstitch a narrow rolled hem.

4. Sew the skirt to the bodice leaving the bodice lining free. Fold under the waist edge of the bodice lining and finish by hand.
