Welcome to the 2008 DOTY Awards Program

For years, the Doll of the Year® (DOTY®) Awards Program, sponsored by Doll Reader, has remained one of the most prominent and exciting events organized to celebrate dolls with exceptional design and manufacture. Every year, artists and collectors anticipate the results of the Industry’s Choice® competition and prepare to select their favorite dolls. The past years have welcomed winning artists like Philip Heath, Hildegard Günzel, Laura Tuzio-Ross, and Heidi Plusczok, among many others, and companies like the Tonner Doll Co., Superfrock Ltd., and Ashton-Drake Galleries have also taken home the coveted award. It is a time when doll experts and collectors alike come together to vote in recognition of superior achievement in doll creation.

2007 DOTY Awards

For the second year in a row, IDEX Las Vegas was held from June 29-July 1 at the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

On Saturday evening, the annual DOTY and TOBY Awards Banquet, sponsored by Dolls by Berenguer, took place.

Madavor Media CEO Jeffrey Wolk said a few words to start off the evening, and Publisher Susan Fitzgerald took the stage to thank everyone for attending and to particularly to thank all who helped in the Silent Auction, which raised close to $4,000.00 for childhelp.org.

Following an elegant sit-down dinner, the highly anticipated 2007 Doll of the Year People's Choice award winners were presented by Jill Jackson, the Editor of Doll Reader, and Kathryn Peck, the Managing Editor.

Call for Entries: 2008 DOTY Awards Registration Forms

Electronic entry forms, fees, and photos must be received by Friday, Jan. 4, 2008.
