For more than 20 years, Friedericy Dolls’ handmade OOAK wax-over-porcelain figures and scenes have delighted collectors. What began as a family affair with the help of brother John, an acclaimed sculptor, painter, and lithographer, is today the work of celebrated mother and daughter team Judith and Lucia Friedericy. The duo’s creations are often inspired by classic illustrations from children’s literature, mythical figures, and theatrical characters. Never made from a mold, every doll is hand-sculpted by Judith Friedericy then painted, wigged, dipped in wax, and costumed by Lucia Friedericy.
